Awakeri Hot Springs
Relax and unwind at Awakeri Hot Springs – thermal mineral pools heated to between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. The beautifully soft water comes direct from nature and our hot pools are free for all Awakeri holiday park guests to use as much as they like!
You’ll find that Awakeri Hot Springs have some of the most secluded hot pools in the Bay of Plenty and the perfect complement to our peaceful holiday park accommodation. Book your Awakeri accommodation here.
We have 1 large hot pool (12m x 24m) and 2 smaller children’s pools, including a toddler’s pool which is around 30cm deep. Our hot pool area is partially covered with large shade-sails to protect your skin on sunny days. There are also toilets in the hot pools area for your use.
Our pools are supplied with geothermal water taken from deep bores. This water is described as a "weakly mineralised, neutral, chloride-bicarbonate water". The main pools are chlorinated to comply with health regulations while the private spa pools use natural unchlorinated water direct from the bores.
Entry Prices for General Public
The general public are welcome to enjoy our beautiful, clean, hot pools.
- $6.00 per adult (13 years & over)
- $4.00 per supervising (non swimming) adult
- $4.00 per child (3-12 years old)
- $1.00 per infant (under 3 years)
Opening Hours
Our hot pools are open from 7.00am to 10.30pm every day, for guests of our Awakeri holiday park and from 8.00am to 9.30pm each day, for the general public.
Private Spas
Feel aches and stresses float away in one of our 6 private spas – complete with lots of bubbles and jets. Just like our outdoor pools, these spas are filled with natural mineral water at temperatures around 38 degrees Celsius. You can regulate the temperature yourself whilst you soak. Our private spas are drained, cleaned and sterilized daily.
- Guests of our Awakeri Hot Springs holiday park are charged a $12 flat fee (per half an hour), and each spa comfortably seats four adults.
- Members of the public are welcome to book a private spa at $7.50 per person (minimum spa charge $12).
- Spas are open 364 days (excluding Christmas Day) from 8.00am till 9.00pm.
